When I first Started the  Nutrisystem Plan, I was Very Unhappy with myself.  I didn’t like the way I looked. I was getting into a funk because it seemed that no matter what i was doing I just couldn’t seem to loose the weight.  I HATED wearing anything that was “form fitted”  I remember the Day we got new work uniforms.  I was a Department Lead – and Really good at my job.  So My manager Told me that I had to wear a Woman’s cut polo shirt - because it looked more professional.  Don’t get me wrong, The men’s looked just as professional, but it was just a little Looser.  I argued her on it.  I was NOT going to wear a Form Fitted Shirt in the public. But low and behold … She won.  I hated it.  But I understood the reason behind it.  It did look a little more professional… And it didn’t look HORRIBLE on me, I just was not comfortable.  That was a year ago and I got a Women’s XL Polo shirt.
Lets fast forward to today.  I am still wearing the same XL shirt, but it is starting to get baggy… I am just waiting for a new order of work shirts to come in.  I am actually now unhappy with the way my work uniform fits because now It LOOKS too baggy and not form fitted enough!  Go figure what a couple pounds of weight can do!  I have had to go jean shopping. I now have 1 pair of jeans that officially fit me, but they are starting to get big.  I just didn’t want to spend the extra money on a couple pair because I don’t wear them often.  I am still on the look out for a new pair of work pants.  The ones that I have are starting to get a little baggy on me  - and i remember that i bought them a slight bit tighter in the waist then I usually would have.  This whole journey has been a confidence booster!

Can You believe it? I have been on the Nutrisystem Plan for 14 weeks!    It sure hasn’t felt like it has been 14 weeks since I have started!  Boy Time Flies.

I have been starting to back into eating some “non plan” meals.  Usually Eating them on the weekends when I spend time with the family… and when I don’t have to work and be on the run!   This is a Very hard thing to do, because I realized I have missed eating some of the foods that My family have cooked.  And what doesn’t help is the fact that I am the ONLY one in my family that was Working on loosing the weight.  So When mom makes Home made Mac and Cheese… It is FULL of Mac and Cheese  and Onions and Garlic Powder… Very yummy, but not the best for the waist line.  So, how do I Conquer this?  I make sure to Eat my Salad First – and Pace myself.  It is amazing. You can Scarf down food… .and still feel hungry – because you ate it too fast and your stomach didn’t have time to digest and realize that ALL that food was sitting there.  I am still eating the Delicious Nutrisystem Dinners.  And by Far – if  I could eat the Pizza (it has to be made in the oven though) every Day, I so Would.  I would just rotate between the Thick and Thin Crust!  I also make sure to Drink Plenty of Water.  Which with the summer being as hot as it is… It is a great way to stay hydrated.

This is my 1st Week on my 4th Month of  Nutrisystem.  Everything seems to be back on track! :D  I am super excited!

This summer has been off to a fun and Constantly on the go time.  We have graduation parties right and left. Parties with Friends… Firework Displays… It’s been a complete madhouse!  But Even with the madhouse I have done my best to stick with the Nutrisystem Plan!  And it is still working!  I am so excited!  The past few weeks I was getting worried because I went up so much in weight one week (almost 2 lbs) that I was discouraged and thought I wouldn’t get back down to where I was aiming for.  But as you can see this week I am lower again!

I think that a lot of the success of this plan is having an open mind and realizing that I can do it… And I can still Eat  the foods I like – because they are all greens!  Like Endless Salad, Cucumbers, Green Beans, and more!  And to help me save on the cost of grocery shopping… The lil guy and I have planted our own garden.  The beans have already started coming in full – and we just go outside and pick right from the vine and snack on fresh, Crispy Green Beans!  Even Lil C has grown to LOVE the idea.(the picutre above is what it looked like when we first planted the garden a few weeks back)

Wahoo!  I am so excited less than 10lbs more to go! :D

This is my week 12 check in on the Nutrisystem Plan.  Even though this last week didnt go as planned… I am still sticking with the Nutrisystem Program!

Pweh!  I am back on track!  I cant believe how frustrating it can be when you Step on the Scale and see that it has GONE UP since the week before!  CRAZY!  I thought I did something wrong – and then… I tried on a pair of pants that didnt fit right last week… and Voila… They Fit!  Hmm.  Well I guess it is true that muscle weighs more than fat…  And I’ve been trying to get into the routine of getting a little muscle building (nothing too Crazy .. Promise)

And thank you to the little guy – I have had a LOT of help keeping on track! He keeps reminding me that Im on a “diet” and i have to Eat “Diet” food… Yet, he’s always right there to try to sneak a bit of my dinner. He even asked to make the both of us one of the Nutrisystem Pizzas.  And I did have an extra one from the holidays lately where I chose to Eat NON Nutrisystem food for the day.

So How did I do?

Current Weight: 146.4
This weeks Loss:  -1.5 lbs
Total Weight loss:  18.7 lbs

As you may have noticed in my Title – I had a setback.  I was on a great path to loosing weight…Then I started gaining a couple pounds… Was it because I didnt stick to the plan like I should have… Yeah, Probably.  It is really important to keep on schdule.  I think my down fall, not having my mid morning and mid afternoon “snack”.  As crazy as it sounds…. When I have gotten use to having a small munch half way through my morning or half way through the afternoon, and I skip it… I tend to want to overeat (or choose the wrong foods) at my meals.  So with that said….

This is my week 10 check in on the Nutrisystem Plan.  I’m Still sticking with it – and going strong!  I have been Very impressed with the outcome! (But my pocket book wont be pretty soon)

When I started Nutrisystem, I was in about a size 14 pant (size 12, if they were really forgiving)   Well, I have been Avoiding going shopping because I have figured …If I am going to work on loosing weight – I may not want to go crazy and shop.  But I had to break down and buy some new work pants.  We had a corporate walk coming up and I needed to look VERY professional (Since I am a manager)… I am So happy to say that when I tried on a 12, They were too big!  I grabbed a 10!  Wahoo!  I havent been a size 10 since before I had Lil C !!!  I was jumping up and down for joy… Then I realized… Its Summer… I do not own 1 pair of shorts that are smaller than a 13(juniors) or that are from when I was Pregnant… O Well, that Is another Shopping Day.

I have been  Active.  I haven’t gone out of my way to go to the gym.  I work in the retail world So I am Constantly doing laps around the Store, helping Customers , Rushing up to ring at the register (never fails, I just get to the back of the store, when they call for a backup cashier)…  I am pretty sure that If I start adding in a workout routine – my numbers may drop just a little more.  Do you have any Simple Work out suggestions?  Ones that I can do at home – with very minor equipment.  I’d love to hear any suggestions you may have.  I only have 10 more pounds to go!

Yes!  I sucessfully completed week 9 on the Nutrisystem Plan. It is super easy for me to keep on schedule though the week, but once it hits the weekends, I have a Crazy hard time sticking to the diet.

This week we celebrated Memorial Day …  The weekend just through me completely off track.  Not only did I have to work until 6pm … We were leaving RIGHT after work to go up north for some R&R.   Literally, When I got home, I changed out of work clothes and off we went… Leaving me ZERO time to make a N.S. meal.  So,   we hit a …. fast…food…. place on the way! YIKES!  I was so excited, thinking that I would LOVE the taste…  since I havent had it in so long.  But when I actually bit into my jr burger (yes, junior size) it just didnt taste the same.  I have been so use to eating meals that are freshly cooked – nothing can compare.
I did have an EXTREMELY relaxing weekend.  I think that is something that my body needed.  It is so use to being on the go and Not having a chance to relax, that having 2 days to do nothing…. Put me in a happy mood  - and i think that happy mood allowed me to not OVER eat and Not Just hold onto the weight!

It is Extremely Amazing how eating smaller portions and realizing when you are HUNGRY and FULL is not as hard as I originally thought it would be.  It is quite very easy.  I now have my friends and coworkers asking how I do it. And I tell them all about the Nutrisystem Program.  They all thought that I was starving myself – until one day when they saw my “lunch”

Once again there has been a slight loss of weight with using the Nutrisystem Plan.  I have made it 8 Full weeks! And I am surprised on how easy it has been

 

This week I have been able to physically notice change – besides from my pants being too big.  I have been able to look in a mirror and say, Wow, I have lost a few pounds.  But along with that, I have noticed what I see as Imperfections.  And that is my biggest obstacle now to over come.  No matter how many people say – “oh you’re looking great” or how I get complimented on… I still have that feeling that there’s something just not right.  I know that this is a common issue for many women.  No matter how thin we may be according to the scale – the mirrors seem to tell us something differently.  I have been doing my best to push through this feeling – And not to let it over run my feelings of great accomplishments.  I am currently down over 16 lbs from the time I have started Nutrisystem.  And that in itself is an Accomplishment that I couldn’t have achieved other wise.

Now lets see how well I do this next week!  It is the Memorial Holiday that I am going to have to do my best to go to all the family gatherings and be polite and try a little of everything!

A very slight loss, but a loss none the less with this week on the Nutrisystem Plan.  I have made it 7 Full weeks and going on my 8th!   I have been super pleased with the result, and even more pleased with myself.  

Did I tell you about Mothers day?  Oh yeah, probably not. Well Mothers day, I had to work, but I worked a morning shift.  That way I was able to go and have dinner with friends of mine.  I knew that since I wasn’t going to have my son, I felt like I needed to celebrate somehow.  So I went to a party.  It was a Mother’s day/birthday party at one of my friends houses- but they had HOME cooked food.  and Foods that I loved!  Well, I succeeded at not scarfing down a whole plate of food.  I was very good about controlling my proportions…. And all this I learned from being on the Nutrisystem Plan.

I do have many people now commenting on the fact that I have lost weight.  It is a good boost of confidence – confidence that I lacked up until recently!

Once again – I had another successful week on the Nutrisystem Plan.  This week was half and half when it came to how easy I felt that the system was.  I love that the meals are So simple to make – but with it getting warmer outside my food tastes have changed.

 So many of the meals I chose for dinner are soups and Lasagnas and Pizzas… All which are crazy Delicious, but… they just don’t fit with the temperature.  When it is Cold outside, I love Soups and Stews.  But when it gets warm out – I’m all about Salads and Pasta dishes.  Pizza – well, Pizza is an any weather food.  If I could have Pizza every day – I would.  Well maybe not every day.  Speaking of Pizza – I was COMPLETELY impressed with their Turkey Pepperoni Pizza.  I was so leery about trying it because it said TURKEY.  But NOPE, it didn’t change the flavor.
Well here’s the time of Truth… Drumroll please….Dddddrrrrruuuuummmmmmmmm….

Current Weight: 150.1
This weeks Loss:  1.8lbs
Total Weight loss:  15.0lbs
I am finally at the weight I was 7 years ago when I got married!!! YEA!  Now only 15 more lbs to go to my goal.

Each week seems to get a little easier with the Nutrisystem Plan.  I am currently celebrating the weigh in from my 5th week!  Super Excited!  I am down some more!  Almost at my first Mile stone.  If I havent told you before, I had 3 mile stones. The first was going from 165 to 160 (Which is what I weighed when I got pregnant with Lil C)  The second mile stone was going from 160 to 150 (which is what I weighted when I got married)  and my final Milestone mark is 135lbs.  This is what I weighed in college.  They are all obtainable…. But I have realized that I carry my weight differently now then I didn when I was 20 – so we will see if 135 ends up being my final milestone  or if i make it a little more reasonable like 145lbs.

This past week I have learned that it is all about Portion Control.  I know everyone has the opportunity to cheat on diets – but its how do you choose to cheat… This week, lil C and I met up with some friends that we haven’t seen in about 6 months. They invited us over for dinner, and it would be rude to go and not eat… So I kept in mind portion sizes.  Even though the Bread sticks looked EXTREMELY delicious covered in garlic and butter….I shared some with my son.  And Even though their stuffed shells were delicious, I kept in mind that I needed to eat slowly – that way When I was full, I would know it….and I wouldn’t OVEREAT because of eating to fast.    I have also learned how much better FRESH bough produce is compared to frozen and Canned.   See Some of my Favorite Fresh Foods Here

It has been 1 FULL month since i Started Nutrisystem!  It is probably one of the best decisions that I have ever made!  I have realized that I feel better OVERALL.  Not just do I notice that my pants are fitting looser – but I am noticing that I seem to have a little more energy!

This week I am going to focus a little on the Breakfast options that Nutrisystem offers.  They have a variety of non frozen breakfasts and a couple frozen meals.  I love eggs, but I have never been a fan of omelets.  Thankfully the Nutrisystem omelets taste just like scrambled eggs…and there’s not an overwhelming amount of filling!  And when I feel that there’s too much filling, I can simply scoop it out and Voila – Scrambled Eggs.  I will have to say … My favorite meals have been the Double Chocolate Muffin (YUMMY…. I could almost eat one every day) and the Cinnamon Bun Bar.  I love Cinnamon buns but there is just something about the breakfast bar that makes me feel like I’m eating the most Highly Calorie filled Donuts! LOL… So even after feeling like I ate like a QUEEN with the delicious breakfasts… Let the weigh in begin.
