Summer is a a perfect time for getting together with your friends.  And getting together with friends always means a good time!  but to make that time even better…. a Great glass of Flip Flop Wines!

A little about Flip Flop Wines & Soles4Souls:  FlipFlop wines and Soles4Souls have partnered to put shoes on more than 100,000 feet of children!  Shoes help prevent the spread of diseases that plague over 1.4 billion people worldwide.  Shoes are considered a required part of the school uniform in developing countries – and with out these shoes, many children are unable to attend school.  In 2011, flip flop wines and Underdog Wine Merchants are partnering with Soles4Souls to help them achieve their goal of 11 million pairs of shoes in 2011!

Last Friday I had the opportunity to get together with 3 great ladies – My Mom, My Aunt and My Grandma!  It’s always a ball when we get together!  And add a good glass of whine in to the mix…. All you heard was…” Sip…. sip…. Sip… taste …taste ….taste…. Ah!”  (I wish I had a tape recorder, there are no letters/words to describe the great flavor savoring sounds in the room!)    Flip Flop Wines sent me a Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir and a Riesling.
The first wine that was tasted for the night was the Riesling.  ”Medium-bodied, complex Riesling with peach, apricot and melon with leads to a satisfying, smooth finish”  It was unanimous that this wine was the sweetest of the 3.  It is Sweet, but not TOO Sweet!  With the Riesling, you can feel a little “Grab”, but it does not layer in your mouth!  The FlipFlop Riesling would make a great Sangria, just add some fruit!  Smell:  Light and Fresh.  This was the favorite of My self and My Mom.
The Second wine of the night was the Pinot Grigio.  ”Light-bodies, Refreshing Pinot Grigio with tropical citrus, ripe pear and a zesty, clean finish”  This would pair great with fish or a shrimp scampi.   At first sniff – before poured, all you heard in the room was “OOOOOAAAAKKKIE!!!”  A few of the comments for this wine ” Gives a Twang at the back of your mouth”, ” Has a little bite, but not a lot- it’s just right” and “YUMMY”.  This was the favorite of my Aunt.
The last flavor of the night was a Pinot Noir.  ”Medium-bodied, structured Pinot Noir with bright cherry, sweet spice and a supple, velvety finish”  At first Sip “Oh is that smooth…!”  There is a little bite to this wine – we all tried to place the spice….  This wine would be great paired with a Good Steak!  A few of the comments “Mild, oak-ie smell”, “There’s a spice…. but it doesn’t take over”  This is defiantly a medium bodied wine, but it is Very light for a Red Wine.  None of us noticed an after taste – which is a great quality of the wine!
As a latecomer to the party …. Like a week late…. was my uncle.  Unfortunately he only had 2 of the wines to taste  - the Riesling and the Pinot Noir.  He agreed with both of us, he defiantly likes the sweeter, white wine… But would never turn down a glass of Flip Flop Pinot Noir!

Overall Census.  Flip Flop Wines are a great wine to add to any party.  At the price of 7.00-10.00  a bottle, It is very affordable.  One of the most favored things about these wines… The distinct Labels!  Each label gave a feel of summer… With flowers, and fish….and flip flops… You can bring summer to any season party!  Another great feature – the Twist off tops…  How many times have you wanted a good glass of wine – and come to find out your cork screw has gone missing!  Yeah, no more will you need to search high and low for that pesky tool when you enjoy a bottle of Flip Flop Wines!

Flip Flop Wines are sold at stores like Krogers !  Flip Flop Wines can be found on Facebook and also Twitter!

*I have been provides samples of 3 flavors of flip flop wines  to facilitate this review.  All opinions expressed are the opinions of the party goers!  I was not financially compensated for this review.
